The Biogen Acute Neurology Research Unit seeks a highly motivated and keen translational biologist with background in ischemic stroke and/or epilepsy to join in our mission to deliver novel, impactful therapies to patients with acute brain injuries, including stroke, traumatic brain injury and episodic attacks such as epilepsy, which are responsible for massive burdens of long-term neurologic disability. The individual’s primary responsibility is to oversee in vivo modeling platforms, deploying translational biomarkers to advance target validation and drug discovery and development into the clinic, through the design and execution of bench science research internally at Biogen and through management of external collaborations. The individual is expected to function as a leader in in vivo platform development, optimization and use, drawing on pertinent literature, innovating, and fostering collaborations to maximize synergies and cross-disciplinary approaches to advance the studies.
