About The Position

As a Principal Systems Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our systems. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies, conducting hazard analyses, and providing guidance on safety regulations and standards. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining the highest level of safety for our products and solutions. Our complex system Epic is an integrated avionics platform for our Gulfstream customer. Epic consists of heads-up displays, touch screen controllers, flight management system, navigation system, communication systems, etc. Our Gulfstream systems team drives solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across all Gulfstream programs. You will report directly to our Engineering Director for Gulfstream integrated avionics system, and you'll work out of our Deer Valley, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the safety and reliability of our systems, ensuring that they meet the highest industry standards and regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems safety engineering
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Certification in systems safety engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements

Responsibilities
