About The Position

As our Principal Safety Engineer you will be an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, to identify, analyze, and resolve safety issues. This senior position will work hand-in-hand with stie management, mentor, and support personnel, and work to ensure overall compliance of the site. Maintain safety standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and OSHA VPP). Collaborate and participate as a valued member of the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support and coordinate activities and processes. Lead and/or provide safety input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes and procedures. Manage daily safety operations and risk mitigation for multi-division production facilities Attend daily safety meetings, safety walks and audits. Analyze injury and/or incident (near miss) trends and creating and/or deliver pertinent safety Collaborate with other Bosch HSE sites and regions to improve overall performance in North America.

Requirements

  • BS or MS Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental, or related major.
  • 10+ years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment that involves the use of hazardous chemicals and gases.
  • Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost effective and meet user requirements for the management of safety, industrial hygiene and environmental issues. This should include; chemical/gas safety, electrical safety, ergonomics, noise pollution, laser safety, and process safety.
  • Experience with lock-out/tag-out procedures and protocols
  • Strong computer and data management skills desired.
  • Experience with web-based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, while driving individual project work and activities towards the team's goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes to include the potential hazardous effects of exposure and corresponding best practices to minimize those hazards.
