About The Position

The Principal RFIC Layout Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of WiFi and Bluetooth radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) using advanced deeply-scaled CMOS processes. This role involves collaboration with both domestic and international design engineering teams, providing oversight for layout projects, and ensuring quality and project milestones are consistently met.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in RFIC layout, preferably with a focus on connectivity solutions such as WiFi and Bluetooth.
• Proficiency in deep sub-micron FinFET technologies, specifically at 7nm and below.
• Strong knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso and Mentor design and verification tools.
• Experience with analog RF design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting project deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of WiFi and Bluetooth RFICs.
• Provide oversight and direction for custom layout tasks, managing layout designers and ensuring quality of work.
• Implement layouts from circuit schematics through to DRC and LVS checks for customer IP blocks.
• Ensure project objectives, milestones, and quality requirements are met consistently.
• Collaborate closely with the design team on floor-planning, power/ground arrangements, critical nets, matched devices, and top-level integration while assessing project schedules.
• Work alongside the internal CAD team to refine tool flows and enhance overall layout productivity.
• Utilize expertise in deep sub-micron FinFET technologies, focusing on 7nm and below, employing Cadence and Mentor design and verification tools.
