About The Position

RF System Expertise & Technical Guidance & Cross Functional Collaboration: Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts related to RF systems on Air Force aircraft, including radar, electronic warfare (EW), countermeasures, and signal processing. Specific experience with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare Systems (IDEWS) and their integration with aircraft navigation and targeting solutions is highly valued. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, squadron leadership, and customer organizations on best practices for RF system model development and testing within the JSE. Work closely with Operations, Integration, and Program Management teams throughout all phases of simulation event planning, execution, anomaly investigation and reporting. Advise and assist simulation scenario developers by interpreting user requirements. Research and stay apprised of developing technologically advanced RF payloads and systems for both U.S. and foreign aircraft. Apply high-fidelity physics-based models of RF propagation, antenna patterns, signal processing chains, and countermeasures within the JSE to accurately represent real-world aircraft RF system behavior. Provide expertise in the accurate modeling and simulation of diverse RF threats and countermeasures for effective 'red teaming' and adversarial engagement within the JSE. Test & Evaluation Support: Leverage an understanding of operational context and tactical employment to develop test strategies, concepts, objectives, measures of performance, and test methodologies specifically related to RF simulation events in the JSE. Define data requirements for RF systems under test/training, including threat and environmental measurement systems.. Provide content for test support plans and data analysis plans to ensure useful test and training outcomes. Make hardware and software recommendations as needed. Provide control room test support in the engineering discipline role. Develop real-time data monitoring displays for effective data analysis. Analyze and interpret RF-related data, assess system under test/training performance, develop conclusions and recommendations, and generate report-quality data products and technical documentation. Security and Classification Management for RF Data: Maintain expert knowledge of security classification guides (SCGs) and data handling protocols pertaining to classified RF system performance data and simulation outputs, ensuring strict compliance in all aspects of JSE operations and reporting. Leadership & Communication: Serve as a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high-performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment. Effectively communicate complex results with management and executive leadership through clear, concise, and technically accurate oral and written presentations.
