Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Radar Software Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Site 1 program (DS1). As a Radar Software Integration and Test Engineer you will be a key member of the team responsible for Integration and Testing of the system. This role will be reporting to the I&T lead and work collaboratively with other functional disciplines. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge of Software Integration and Testing, troubleshooting, and problem reporting. The most successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced dynamic role. This role has extensive travel to OCONUS and CONUS locations at around 50% of the time. When not on travel, this position is in Colorado Springs, CO.

  • Support early use operations on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system.
  • Perform software testing on the DARC radar system.
  • Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
  • Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Support early use training on DARC radar system.
  • Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions.
  • Participate in, prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
  • Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
  • Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
  • Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or, 3 years with a Master’s Degree or 2 Years with a PhD in a STEM field from an accredited University or College.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance at the time of application, with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or related languages.
  • Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% internationally and domestically.
  • Experience in the development of software requirement verification procedures.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations experience (in lieu of degree).
  • Experience with hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations.
  • Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements.
  • Experience with large ground data processing systems integration.
  • Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration.
  • Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items.
  • Ability to document and record integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies.
  • International integration and/or test experience.
  • Software development integration and test methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
