About The Position
The position involves driving the development of high-speed grinding processes with a strong focus on improving quality, throughput, and manufacturing costs. The candidate will initiate technical ideas to enhance the grinding process and serve as a subject matter expert. Collaboration with team members is essential to understand the influence of upstream and downstream processes on substrate quality. The role requires developing technical approaches, schedules, and deliverables with a detailed project plan, implementing innovative solutions, and delivering results within expedited timelines. The candidate will also establish, review, and update both short-term and long-term experimental plans, utilize statistical tools for process characterization, and communicate ideas and results effectively to accelerate technology progress. Additionally, the role includes performing fundamental research related to the SiC grinding process and contributing to the Intellectual Property of II-VI by writing IP disclosures and patent applications.
