A Day in the Life Principal R&D Engineer in the ENT new product development hardware mechanical engineering team. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots, and provides technical skills during research and/or product development. Translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Designs studies to investigate specific life-science questions within the field of expertise. May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials.
Requirements
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience designing injection molded, machined, and formed components
- Experience with GD&T and dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis
- CAD modeling experience in CREO
- DFMEA experience, including design mitigation identification and tracing to design outputs
- Ability to work well with cross-functional partners in operations, sourcing, quality, and regulatory to move projects forward quickly
- Agile and SAP experience setting up and releasing components and BOMs
