About The Position

At Medtronic, a career as a Principal Quality Systems Specialist is an opportunity to engage in a life-long journey of exploration and innovation, while playing a crucial role in championing healthcare access and equity for all. In this pivotal position, you will manage assigned projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes within the quality systems framework. The role is situated within the Cranial and Spinal Technologies Organization (CST), which is dedicated to developing life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum. This includes integrating advanced technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to enhance patient access, improve procedural efficiency, and ensure successful patient outcomes. As a Principal Quality Systems Specialist, you will specifically support the Spine & Biologics division, which focuses on providing procedural solutions for spine surgery and bone grafting solutions for spinal fusion. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with both internal and external standards. You will provide expertise in interpreting policies and regulations to assure compliance, working directly with operating entities to enforce requirements and meet regulatory standards. In addition, you will lead audit and inspection preparations, resolve findings, and liaise with auditing groups throughout the audit process. Your role will also involve preparing reports and documentation, coordinating legal requests for government investigations, and ensuring that quality assurance programs are regularly maintained and updated. You will facilitate the establishment of uniform standards globally and promote best practice sharing to support the company's mission. This position requires a commitment to ensuring that Quality Management System (QMS) requirements are established, maintained, and effectively communicated throughout the organization.
