Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing and QA environment

Nice To Haves

  • Expert knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
  • Expert knowledge of Model Based Definition prints and review at Receiving Inspection
  • Expert knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing, CNC machining and Special Processing
  • Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Continuous Improvement and creating Inspection Plans

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation, control systems and protocols
  • Work with designs and specifications, devises testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of product
  • Collaborate internally to ensure quality standards are in effect
  • Ensure that projects and process control documents are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts
  • Identify and manage risk in product development (primarily utilizing and driving Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) core elements e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.)
  • Develop and implement proactive quality strategies
  • Perform Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action(s)
  • Ensure all requirements are met for work transfer and process change management (e.g. Resourcing Gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance)
  • Design and implements product engineering changes to satisfy quality issues raised by customers
  • Support the development and maintenance of inspection technologies or methodologies to assure product conformance
