About The Position
As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer at Publix Super Markets, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our internal associate portal, Publix Connection. This hybrid position requires you to be on-site in Lakeland, FL for 8 days each month, allowing you to collaborate closely with your team while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work. You will be part of the corporate systems team within the Publix Technology department, which is renowned for its innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to manually test SharePoint solutions, working alongside developers, requirements analysts, and cross-functional teams to coordinate testing efforts effectively. In this role, you will define quality assurance processes and testing strategies for assigned products, leading the software and product testing efforts with minimal guidance. You will participate in requirements and design meetings to establish test effort estimates and develop comprehensive testing strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in creating test plans, analyzing project documentation, and managing test cases in Azure DevOps. You will also design, build, and execute automated tests using various frameworks, ensuring that all quality assurance activities are conducted throughout the software development lifecycle. Your experience in leading QA teams will be essential as you facilitate defect tracking and problem resolution, present testing outcomes for go/no-go decisions, and perform hands-on testing utilizing a lab of retail handheld devices. You will work in an agile environment that releases code to production regularly, contributing to the overall success of Publix's technology initiatives.
