About The Position

The Team FBT is looking for a Principal Software Engineer. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be applying your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve FBT customer-facing software solutions. You will also be enabling your Scrum team in accepting test automation frameworks and standard methodologies to ensure we are building the right product the right way. The Expertise You Have A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field 5+ years experience with designing and building UI/Angular and webservice applications while incorporating test automation frameworks Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus Experience working in the financial Industry Expert level knowledge of SQL, RESTful APIs, system design, data structures, and algorithms Experience with a modern UI framework such as React, Angular or Vue You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high risks and high rewards Experience AWS, CI/CD, ES6, React or SASS Experience with FIX Protocol a plus The Skills You Bring Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of development technologies and test automation frameworks (Java/J2EE, unit, Ruby, Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity, JavaScript/Angular, Spring, Web Services, REST, HTTP) Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, writing testable and maintainable code Able to perform many roles within the agile squad from development to QA to systems analysis in order drive sprint deliverables to completion Self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented Has keen attention to detail and wants to solve hard problems, not just detect them Able to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption as well as mentoring others Able to work with remote and international team members Obsessed with creating the best end-to-end customer experience Owns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results Qualifications Playwright or Cypress is a plus Fidelity product knowledge and experience a plus. FSDM experience and knowledge is a plus. Experience with automated testing tools a is a must. Experience with soapUI or similar Soap test tool is a must. Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with business partners and development partners. Experience with testing WEB and/or distributed application systems Strong verbal, written communications and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and workload associated with multiple, concurrent projects. Experience with MS Office suite of tools: Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint are a plus. Requirements

A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
