About The Position

The Principal Project Manager is a crucial role focused on planning, directing, and coordinating activities of Project Management Team to ensure that goals and objectives of the Solutions Group are successfully achieved by delivering the portfolio of turnkey projects within prescribed scope, time and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Location: Onsite role based out of the Tampa Service Office with occasional local travel to customers and job sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years commercial/industrial HVAC experience
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • 3-5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in forecasting, coordinating large complex projects, and AIA documentation
  • Previous contract writing experience

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification, preferred
  • OSHA 30, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages all phases of Project Planning and Management including client engagement, project development, project planning, project administration, cost control, quality control, staffing, and profitability responsibility.
  • Interacts with customer to ensure their goals and objectives are being met. Anticipates and responds to the client's needs and concerns
  • Reviews project proposal to determine and ensure accurate funding, time frame, procedures, and staffing requirements are identified to accomplish the project
  • Manages and coordinates activities of Project Team to successfully perform all aspects of project administration including initiation, planning, manage & control, commission, and close out
  • Plan, implement and continuously improve project management best practices and tool sets to streamline project processes / procedures and maximize returns to all stakeholders
  • Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors within a department. Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating direct reports
  • Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation for entire department
  • Manages the Project Team P&L to deliver the annual financial objectives
  • Provide leadership initiatives to support corporate change efforts
  • Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associates, vendors, and professional organizations
