About The Position

A Principal Project Manager, with the help of their team, is charged with multiple responsibilities that span the five project phases of a project life cycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing). The project management phases intersect with 10 knowledge areas, which include integration, scope, time, cost/finance, quality, human resources, communication, risk procurement, and stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience (Preferably within Banking and/or Financial Services).
  • Experience proactively managing project spend including reporting of actuals and the creation of the budget.
  • Experience in Project Management theory and/or software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite including Excel, Word and Power Point required.
  • Project Management experience in the financial services industry, especially banking (Preferred).
  • Advanced degree (i.e., MBA) or PMP Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Guide and motivate the project team to execute project plans, manage resources, and resolve challenges.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring tasks are completed, milestones are met, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Champion continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and identifying opportunities to refine methodologies and enhance efficiency.
