About The Position

In this role, you will design and deliver DGM's control systems and provide ongoing customer support to ensure reliable performance and world-class customer satisfaction. The successful applicant will contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation transmission and distribution industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS) or experience working in utility operations.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in software programming and scripting (Python, C / C++).
  • Experience in Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra).
  • Experience with JSON, XML.
  • Experience with common utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, MultiSpeak).
  • Experience with Aspen Tech’s Monarch control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Project Technical Lead directly working with external customers delivering projects.
  • Design, plan, integrate, test and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
  • Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments as necessary.
  • Provide networking and system/application design.
  • Perform hardware, software and system installation, integration, and testing for projects.
  • Customize system, hardware and network configuration based on customer requirements.
  • Provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty.
  • Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.
