About The Position

We are seeking a Principal Project Controls Specialist to support large-scale, highly complex nuclear projects . This expert-level role leads the development and execution of project controls systems across estimating, scheduling, cost control, and change management, with visibility at the program and portfolio level . This position is suited for a highly experienced professional who operates independently, mentors others, and provides strategic project controls leadership on Brown and Black classified projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of project controls experience
• 11+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Expert-level knowledge of project controls principles and methodologies
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in business, finance, project management, or related field
• PMI or AACE certification (PMP, PMI-SP, PSP, CEP, EVPP, CCC, or similar)
• Advanced experience with tools such as: Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Suite Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, PeopleSoft, Powerplant, Emax
• Experience with risk management and Monte Carlo analysis
• Nuclear or large regulated capital project experience

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of project controls reporting systems for major nuclear capital projects
• Perform advanced estimating, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and change management activities
• Provide integrated reporting at the project, program, and portfolio levels
• Analyze cost and schedule performance and support executive decision-making
• Support risk management efforts, including probabilistic analysis when applicable
• Train, mentor, and guide junior project controls professionals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and suppliers
• Operate with minimal oversight and wide latitude for independent decision-making
