This is an opportunity to join the Advanced Technology (AT) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) supporting the Airborne Spectrum Dominance (ASD) Advanced Systems as a Principal Program Controls Specialist. The Advanced Systems Mission Area develops software definable multi-function broadband RF systems that are digital at the element. This hardware, when coupled with advanced tracking and fusion algorithms, provides the warfighter an architecture with additional degrees of freedom to execute longer range survivable kill-chains within the highly contested environment. As a Principal Program Controls Analyst, you will be given a growth opportunity to learn exciting new technologies while working programs that will continue Raytheon’s legacy as the premier provider of solutions to the warfighter. The ideal individual for this job will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn new concepts, tools, management processes, and is able to work in a fast-paced team environment. This position provides a tremendous growth opportunity for an ambitious individual to partner with the program leadership team, which includes program managers, technical leads, and functional support. Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field & 5 years of Finance related experience; OR an Advanced degree and 3 years' Finance related experience.
  • Experience with various forms of budgeting and/or forecasting techniques along with financial analysis and/or reporting.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Experience with performing qualitative or comparative analysis with an emphasis on variance explanation.
  • Experience with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and participate in meetings.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements.
  • Experience in using RTX Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW, PMX, RPLAN)
  • Experience working in a DoD environment.
  • Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment while multi-tasking.
  • Team player contributing new ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Consolidation & Reporting – Lead the consolidation, reporting, and analysis of core financial metrics (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash) for Advanced Systems.
  • Track and report on investments across all colors of money (Capital, NBI, IR&D, Overhead, etc.).
  • Support the organization through various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning and report cycles, including Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP), Investment Planning, Monthly Business Reviews, Monthly Forecast Reviews, and Balance Sheet Reviews.
  • Support contractual variance analysis, monthly Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) development, CDRL preparation (CFSR, FMHR), and development of quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC).
  • Supporting the monthly forecast process which includes coordinating forecast updates with program stakeholders and updating Rplan.
  • Providing critical financial oversight and guidance for the contracts they maintain.
