About The Position

Project finance plans, controls, and reports program performance relating to cost and schedule according to the Earned Value Management System. Project finance is a well-rounded role that introduces an employee to the various facets of BAE Systems finance. This role will specifically support the Dark Horse program, which is a part of the Small Form Factor (SFFS) Product Line in the Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Business Area. This role offers experience in a rapidly growing area of the business with dynamic programs. We are looking for motivated individuals excited by the prospect to grow their Financial Analyst acumen. This role will be conducted in a Hybrid work format, with the individual splitting their time between our offices at the specified site, and remotely. Our preference for this role, is that the individual reside within a comfortable daily commute of our BAE Systems site in Nashua, NH. In this role, you will: Serve as a team leader. Coordinate team meetings and reviews in conjunction with SFFS Program Finance managers Develop creative solutions to problems and drive change through evaluating process improvement opportunities Work as a trusted business partner with multiple team members, including Program Managers, Contracts, Master Planning, Engineering, and Operations for successful team collaboration Create and influence program baselines through earned value management while meeting internal and external customer deadlines and requirements Develop and shape program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays Integrate financial forecasts and deeply analyze estimates at completion Assist in proposal support through fact-finding, statements of position, and negotiations Who you Are: You love working with a team and receiving input from others You are able to concisely explain complex subjects in person and in email You constantly ask questions and love learning You’re willing to put in the time and effort it takes to get the job done You’re more interested in getting the job done right than who gets credit You’re a good judge of how long projects take to complete, and always alert others if things get off track

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of work experience or equivalent experience; alternatively, a master’s degree and 2+ years of work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using ingenuity & innovation
  • Experience communicating and presenting financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of program costs, revenue recognition, profit, cash and collections
  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret security clearance is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer, Cobra, and IRIS Risk Management Tool
  • Ability to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Previous experience in Program Control / Program Finance
  • Though not required, opportunity to support classified programs in this role requiring additional Security clearances
