This Principal-level Product Owner role will focus on our cyber security space. The individual will be responsible for strategically aligning and implementing products and experiences that protect Ally's assets, data, brand, and consumers in a cloud-first, consumer-friendly operating model. This role requires a skilled professional with technical expertise in one or more of the various cyber security domains such as email security, endpoint protection, logging, network security and automation to collaborate with architecture, engineering, Security Operations Center, and business leaders. This role will also work with the Threat Prevention team to build out and maintain a lab to test controls and automations.

  • Maintain the product roadmap by collaborating with Delivery Management and incorporating technical input from engineering teams.
  • Keep the product backlog updated based on priority and sequence of work, incorporating feedback from business customers, collaborators, and teams.
  • Collaborate with and connect business collaborators, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure the right product is built the right way at the right time.
  • Drive engagement with fellow product owners, partners, and domain experts to gather requirements and align on strategic goals.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business partners to identify key business needs and translate them into actionable product features.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key business requirements.
  • Present strategy and content recommendations to partners across the organization, including senior and executive-level management.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CST.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology with a focus on one or more of these areas Endpoint protection, Network Security, Logging and analytics, Security automation and product ownership.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills to work with various partners.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Familiarity in scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, and APIs.
  • Expertise in cloud-native technologies and implementation patterns to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative work environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Computer Information Sciences or equivalent experience.
