About The Position

The Consumer Platform (CP) team is transforming its Product Management function to drive innovation with velocity, customer-centricity, and data-informed strategic bets. Within CP, TurboTax is a >$4.5B business today, yet the opportunity still ahead of us is much larger. Although we deliver a category-leading online DIY tax software for nearly 40M filers, there are still 85M American consumers who spend too much time and money on inefficient and expensive tax prep services. As a Principal Product Manager on the Assisted Growth Team, you will lead the identification and execution of high-impact growth initiatives, balancing rapid experiments for immediate results with long-term investments that drive scalable growth for our expert driven, do it for me tax products. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of critical product funnel optimizations, leveraging data and experimentation to deliver measurable outcomes. In this role, you will guide a dedicated pod of Engineering, Design, and Data Science teammates, ensuring alignment and excellence in execution across the organization. As the Growth function continues to scale, this role also offers opportunities to take on broader leadership responsibilities. You will also need to partner closely with and influence multiple internal organizations including our partner product teams, AI engineering, Go to Market Technology, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, and platform teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of driving growth through user-centered design and experimentation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, data science, and research.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with and influence other Design, Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering leaders to drive outcomes.
  • Deep customer empathy and a strong commitment to customer-centricity, serving as a fierce advocate for customer needs throughout the design process.
  • Thorough understanding of business fundamentals and how tasteful design impacts growth metrics and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions, identify opportunities, and measure outcomes.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams across functions.
  • Effective communicator capable of aligning stakeholders and driving consensus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bias for action, with a track record of delivering results through agile, iterative design processes.
  • Ability to balance short-term wins with long-term investments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the design strategy for prioritized growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Contribute to evolving Intuit's Design System and practices as you test, learn, and iterate on the customer experience.
  • Develop a clear design vision and roadmap across multiple time horizons, collaborating with cross-functional partners to execute effectively.
  • Serve as a lighthouse example for understanding, identifying, and executing high-impact growth design work, setting a gold standard for design practices across the Product organization.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for cross-functional teams, fostering strong collaboration and alignment across functions.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and business leaders to ensure cohesive growth strategies across the organization.
  • Provide mentorship and thought leadership within the team, cultivating a culture of high velocity, a bias for action, experimentation, and shared learnings.
  • Leverage customer insights and data to inform design decisions, ensuring solutions are deeply rooted in customer empathy and address real user needs.
  • Develop and implement design experiments to test hypotheses, iterating rapidly based on feedback and data.
  • Establish and champion growth design principles to ensure sustainable growth outcomes that are customer-centric.
  • Drive the execution of end-to-end design solutions, maintaining a focus on quality, velocity, and measurable impact.
  • Pilot innovative design approaches that can scale across the organization, creating a blueprint for future growth design initiatives.
  • Contribute to scaling the function as a center of excellence, with a clear pathway to design leadership opportunities as the Growth function expands.
