Toast IQ is our AI partner, designed to give restaurant operators smarter insights, deeper personalization, and the ability to take action across the Toast ecosystem. Building on this foundation, we’re introducing new premium intelligence experiences that help operators save time, increase revenue, and run better businesses. We’re entering an exciting phase of expanding this product to thousands of restaurants. Foundational to this growth is experimenting with monetization models, launching premium experiences, and driving adoption at scale. That’s where you come in. A day in the life (Responsibilities) As the Principal Product Manager for Toast IQ, you’ll help own new experiments and features for Toast’s new AI assistant offering. You’ll shape how we package, test, and scale advanced capabilities while driving clear customer value. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, data science, go-to-market, and third-party partners to define the future of AI-powered insights at Toast. If you thrive in zero-to-one product building and care about how operators discover and use intelligence tools, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in GTM and commercialization of new products, 0-to-1 products, startups, AI/ML, or monetized B2B/B2C products.
  • Strong technical fluency; comfortable with APIs, data, and personalization frameworks.
  • Experience with LLMs, experimentation, personalization, or automation technologies is a plus.
  • Skilled at building cross-functional alignment across engineering, ML, GTM, and partnerships.
  • Strong ability to balance customer value with monetization strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 3P partnerships or personalization ecosystems.
  • Hospitality, operations, or B2B SaaS background.
  • Familiarity with customer communities or usage-driven adoption programs

Responsibilities

  • Build advanced AI experiences – Lead development of differentiated intelligence features that enhance operator productivity and decision-making.
  • Enhance personalization and automation – Scale tailored experiences and actionable insights that adapt to each operator’s unique business.
  • Drive customer engagement and adoption – Highlight value through in-product experiences and community-driven proof points.
  • Partner cross-functionally – Collaborate with ML, Product, PLG, GTM, and Design teams to deliver premium, high-impact experiences.
