The position is for a critical member of the OneTrust Regulatory Intelligence Team. This unique role is for an individual with a strong interest and expertise in legal and data protection issues, as well as an entrepreneurial ability to translate regulatory change into significant business impact projects with primary focus on the Americas. You will have legal expertise and can support and lead the creation of tools, resources, whitepapers, reports, and know-how articles, as well as respond to client queries, provide product feedback, speak publicly, and work on practical operational tasks. A familiarity with privacy and AI law and related experience is essential to provide high quality projects, tools, and reports. Monitoring global data protection developments worldwide with primary expertise on the US markers. Identifying the impact of those developments on the OneTrust DataGuidance Product, as well as broader OneTrust Products and Customers. Working closely with business unit leaders to operationalise regulatory privacy intelligence and requirements identified into tangible business value for Customers. Finding creative ways to react to business needs by positively supporting the OneTrust Regulatory Intelligence Team and the wider privacy community.

  • Research and monitor global privacy and data protection developments across the Americas region, with strong emphasis on US federal and state-level privacy laws.
  • Lead the iterative development and creation of new tools, resources, and products to support OneTrust's clients, with a strong focus on business need.
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and format regulatory updates and reports.
  • Design and implement learning and development programs to assist with the effective onboarding and progression of team members.
  • Respond to client requests.
  • Report on and share data regarding global developments across business functions.
  • Collect market data from internal and external sources to share with leadership and product management.
  • Develop and maintain market-oriented value propositions for target markets, industries, and products.
  • Support positioning and messaging through a thorough understanding of the product, data privacy industry, audience, and key competitors.
  • Support OneTrust to keep it at the forefront of customer requests, industry trends, competitive landscape and continually improve our product offering.
  • Advanced degree in law, politics, or any other humanities-based degrees.
  • Minimum 5 years privacy / data protection experience / knowledge.
  • Direct experience with US federal and state regulatory processes.
  • Deep Knowledge of US AI governance frameworks.
  • Experience in drafting reports and undertaking detailed research.
  • Ability to identify and transform regulatory updates into product enhancements.
  • Outstanding written, proofreading, and presentation skills. Highly detailed.
  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experienced on U.S. privacy and data protection laws, capable of identifying and explaining key legal and regulatory developments.
  • An expert in understanding and communicating privacy developments in other key jurisdictions in the Americas (Canada's PIPEDA or Brazil's LGPD).
  • Technically comfortable in leveraging the use of AI-driven tools to enhance research efficiency and support scalable content production.
