Principal PMT - Performance, Device OS
About The Position
The Amazon Devices team delivers high-profile consumer electronics, including Amazon devices like Fire TV Streaming Media players and Echo Show Home Assistants. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Tech to obsess over device and application performance on our devices. With our own vertically integrated products, we can tune and tailor the system from the applications to the metal. This role will instrumental on raising the bar for Amazon device performance. You must be passionate about delivering services and tools to customers while also possessing a strategic understanding of business objectives. A strong technical background is required to produce concrete specifications and work closely with engineering to drive implementation. In this role, you will be at the forefront of multiple technologies with interactions across the full breadth of Devices services, and must be creative and forward leaning in developing solutions. You will own product planning in roadmap and feature definition and will work directly with executive leadership, customers, and partners of all sizes and segments iterating on our product vision and driving business development. You will be a business owner who can scale from strategic vision development with direct interaction with senior leadership across multiple organizations to tactical product development and execution. In addition, we need you to help shape the vision for future customer capabilities and develop a strategy to achieve the vision.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
