The Role We need a technical leader with proven ability to bridge the gap between development and high-rate production, ensuring difficult performance requirements are maintained while improving production yields and troubleshooting facility issues. In this role you will oversee and advance our radar products, specifically focusing on phased array sensor design, RF calibration, and antenna-radome integration. You will work with our Antennas, Electronics, Algorithms, Production, and Test teams to mentor engineers, manage projects with minimal oversight, and shape the technology roadmap of the company.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in radar systems analysis, RF signal processing, phased array design, and/or RF calibration.
  • MS or PhD in Engineering related field
  • US citizen or US person (permanent resident) who is eligible for a US Government security clearance.
  • Ability to work in Springville, Utah, or effectively remotely with regular travel to our facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Leadership: Experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Lead Technologist for complex sensor systems.
  • Phased Array Expertise: Deep knowledge of array collimation, phase center balancing, transmit/receive beam alignment, and element spacing error measurement.
  • RF Calibration: Designing advanced calibration strategies, error budget development, and unit-specific production calibration methods.
  • Electromagnetic Analysis: Experience with antenna-radome interactions, including hybrid ray-tracing and physical optics (PO) tools.
  • Hardware Integration: Proficiency in RF anechoic chamber analysis and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
  • Advanced Processing: Knowledge of wideband beamforming and space-time adaptive processing (STAP).
  • Software Systems: Familiarity with C++, CUDA, or real-time software for data capture and Python for analysis and algorithm development.
