About The Position

Orangeburg County School District is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School Principal beginning July 1, 2025. This principal will also lead the opening of our brand new state of the art Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in August 2026. As the principal, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education in our community. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to academic excellence. Leading the transition into a new school requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build a positive and inclusive school culture. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of school operations, including curriculum development, staff hiring and supervision, student discipline, and community engagement. Additionally, the principal will be responsible for managing the school budget, ensuring compliance with district policies, and fostering a safe and supportive learning environment. The principal will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders to create a school that prioritizes student success and well-being. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
  • Valid South Carolina Secondary Principal Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in educational leadership.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and school administration.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of educational trends and best practices.
