About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for a dynamic individual, self-motivated, with data and computing modernization experience, to join our team as a Principal Operations Research Analyst providing support to the United States Army Europe-Africa's (USAREUR) data and computing modernization efforts required to configure and integrate systems that support mission command decision‐making, enhance interoperability and C2 data sharing between US, NATO and coalition partners, and support the command’s concept for distributed command post operations. Specific efforts of the Principal Operations Research Analyst include applying civilian or military expertise in Concept of Operations Development, Joint and Combined Operational Design and Planning, Joint/Combined Multi-Domain Operations, Coalition/Joint Fires Integration, and/or SOP/TTP Development in coordination with Combatant Commands, Service Component Commands, and Foreign Partners. The position includes analyzing actual and predictable interacting operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques. Devising modeling and measuring techniques, utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. This position will be hybrid. Work locations will include Sterling, VA; Rockville, MD; Mount Laurel, NJ; Orlando, FL; Huntsville, AL. Other major BAE Systems work locations may also be considered.

Requirements

  • Minimum education and years of experience: 10+ Years with HS 8+ Years with AA 6+ Years with BS 4+ Years with MS 2+ Years with PhD
  • May substitute equivalent experience, training and/or certifications for the degree. Relevant experience is job-related work that provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform in the role.
  • Working knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office

  • Experience to include classroom work with modeling and simulation
