The Principal Network Engineer position is a hands-on principal-level strategic engineering role accountable for the design, architecture and hands-on implementation of the Bank's network infrastructure hosted within the AWS cloud as well as some secondary responsibilities ensuring the health of on-premise LAN/WAN networks. This individual assumes the role of subject matter expert (SME) participating as part of project teams for technology solution implementations and will be part of a three-person network engineering team (two principal and one senior network engineer) and works closely within the Bank's Infrastructure team while collaborating closely with other technology teams. This role also works with the Senior Network Engineer ensuring day-to-day support of the network environments is accomplished providing technical support and/or consultative input as required to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the Bank's technology. As supporting skillsets, the abilities to collaborate and communicate well, take accountability, and the desire to aim high, while positively engaging and contributing within a team environment is essential to support the Bank Technology's vision; "Enabling the Bank's mission by delivering agile, secure, cost-efficient information technology solutions."
