  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience in network administration, with a focus on performance monitoring and security in enterprise or government environments
  • Proven expertise in applying STIGs to secure network, server, application, and cloud infrastructure, including hands-on experience with DoD-compliant tools and frameworks
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA, RMF) and ITIL practices for service assurance
  • Proficiency in networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, VPNs), monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, PRTG), and security platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls)
  • Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues across hybrid IT ecosystems under high-pressure conditions
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract obligations
  • Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment
  • May function in a project leadership role
  • The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Washington, DC.
  • Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ with STIG-specific training (e.g., DoD Cyber Exchange courses)
  • Experience supporting DoD or large federal customers, including multi-cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and application-layer security
  • ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification, with emphasis on service operation and security management
  • Background in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of STIG checks and performance reporting
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., GIAC GSEC for advanced security hardening)
