We focus on creating rich and compelling native experiences leveraging the best Android UI guidelines by way of robust tooling to provide deep, financial insights, enabling 'on the go' financial management.   • Collaborate with architecture, security, COEs and UXD to build architecturally compliant apps.
  • Partner with platform squads to define mobile engineering standards, best practices, and tooling.
  • Provide mobile thought leadership to advance PI's mobile outcomes and facilitate a mobile-first mindset.
  • Support a mobile-first world through upskilling and augmenting squads with deep mobile expertise.
  • 6+ years of professional experience developing publicly available Android apps using Kotlin.
  • Experience working in a team of Android developers participating in code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming.
  • Demonstrable experience mentoring and coaching other Android developers.
  • Participated in the development of an Android experience from feature inception to launch using automated tooling like Jenkins, Gradle, and release and DevOps monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, Retrofit, etc.
  • Strong understanding of modern development principles such as Trunk-Based Development, Test-Driven Development, multi-module applications, feature toggles.
  • Understanding of the benefits of a loosely coupled architecture, using strategies such as repositories, use cases, MVVM, MVP, and clean architecture.
  • Knowledge of the mobile landscape, trends, and emerging technologies used in creating performant, resilient, and robust Android apps.
  • Experience driving quality & release pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and static-code analyzers.
  • Good understanding of Android's accessibility features and experience building accessible experiences.
  • Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) is a plus.
  • Hybrid working model blending onsite and offsite work experiences.
  • Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
