Your Role: A Principal Membrane Engineer within the Filtration Research and Development department will assist in the design, development, and testing of novel filtration products/technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals. You will apply solid scientific and engineering principles to Lead the design and development of membrane technology and processes. Conduct research to innovate and improve membrane materials and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate membrane solutions into product development. Work across all levels of the organization in conceptualization, initiation to the final delivery of novel product and technology platforms. Routinely apply solid scientific and engineering principles and direct a diverse team on projects with high complexity and difficulty. Perform technical evaluations and feasibility studies for new membrane applications. Analyze data, generate reports and conduct technical presentations on membrane performance and efficiency. Mentor and guide junior engineers and researchers in membrane technology. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in membrane technology. You will also be expected to contribute to the product and manufacturing process validation of these products for use in a diverse range of applications within the biotechnology industry.

  • Master Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • Relevant work experience 5-7+ years in membrane innovation and development
  • Must have a track record of filtration membrane related innovation and project execution that demonstrate strong scientific/engineering acumen.
  • Must have demonstrated strong fundamental understanding of science/engineering principles related to filtration.
  • Is an expert in designing and conducting experiments in laboratory or manufacturing setting with a diverse project team.
  • Can effectively lead the whole process of complex product and technology development, including identification of problems in hand, evaluation of novel solutions, scale-up to manufacturing process, commercialization of several new products.
  • Is a role model in working collaboratively across different functions within and outside of the company, including, academia, customers, collaborators and operations.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and unwavering resolve to meet project timelines and customer needs.
