Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required, a degree in Mechatronics will be considered.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Engineering Design work, with proficiency in Solidworks 3d and AutoCAD 2d

Nice To Haves

  • A master’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Design and Development of electro-mechanical systems that power Envipco’s Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs).
  • Create, review and release mechanical design specifications including 3d models for parts, assemblies or complete products using computer-aided design programs and produce controlled Engineering Drawings for Fabrication and Assembly and Engineering BoMs
  • Lead and Champion Engineering standards and design processes for Envipco including design reviews, DFX, DFMEA, Design Validation, & Design Release.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, such as software development, manufacturing, purchasing and commercial teams, to ensure integrated project outcomes.
  • Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities and other quality-oriented projects.
  • Apply structured problem-solving tools and methodologies.
  • Coordinate design changes based on manufacturing challenges.
  • Offer engineering design support in collaboration with other teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Extend mentorship to less experienced engineers
  • Stay current with new technologies, methods, and techniques.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
