We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Mechanical Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD. Combat Sensors Hardware Engineering is seeking a self-motivated, experienced mechanical design engineer to support Receiver-Exciter, Processor and Wired Chassis program production efforts. Candidate must possess strong critical-thinking, communication and leadership skills to quickly and efficiently address various mechanical related issues and problems that occur. Candidate must also be able to organize, task and lead a team of supporting engineers through the various design and troubleshooting efforts that occur within the program. Frequent interaction with program management and functional leadership is expected and required with this position. Candidate should be able to provide detailed, clear and concise status reports and relevant information as required to program leadership. Candidate is expected to work closely with outside suppliers to develop solutions and process efficiencies related to program hardware. This position description does not represent a current opening but may be used to identify candidates with skills and experience for positions within Northrop Grumman that frequently become available. Candidates who express an interest may be considered for future positions at Northrop Grumman.
