About The Position

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. You will play a critical role in leading and driving the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. you will also have the opportunity to provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Your leadership and mentorship will inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional results You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule. The Turbomachinery and Heat Exchanger Analysis and Design group within the Mechanical Systems and Components (MS&C) directorate is responsible for the design, development and analysis of Environmental Control System (ECS) turbomachinery and heat exchangers, as well as electric traction drive motors. The successful applicant will be responsible for heat transfer analysis. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements. Other responsibilities include communicating with Project engineering teams, conduction of design reviews, presentations to internal and external customers and contributing to department process improvement initiatives. Needs to be proficient with Patran Thermal or ANSYS or Star CCM plus Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition. Requirements
