Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability. This job is based in Woburn, MA or Andover, MA. This position is designated as ONSITE. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience with sustainment services, repair and return, or product support in a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience with logistics support, depot repair facilities and related processes or manufacturing.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment, with self-initiative, strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of logistics principles.
  • Radar or sensors system product knowledge, and experience with ALCS, PRISM, MSALT, or similar SAP and Citrix systems.
  • Experience developing and routing DD250 and DD1149 forms.
  • Understanding of government acquisitions process and DoD/DFAR statutes and regulations.
  • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule.
  • Proficiency with gathering, distilling and analyzing quantities of data to identify trends, and intermediate skills using MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business and technical support for repair of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
  • Work with a cross-functional team supporting repair contracts on sensor systems to ensure repairs are tracked, completed, and returned to the customer in accordance with the contract parameters.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with repair performers, project leaders, program managers and cross functional areas including operations, supply chain, and finance.
  • Support the Integrated Product Team Lead in directing asset repair and return activities and providing logistical oversight of cross functional areas.
  • Track assets as they proceed through the repair process.
  • Prepare correspondence/reports for internal and external asset transactions and approval.
  • Evaluate expenditures and schedules for repairs and obtain program or customer approval as applicable.
  • Provide guidance to supply chain, operations, and depot logistics POCs to support the procurement and routing of repair material.
  • Escalate challenges, issues, or obstacles to PMO, and collaborate with applicable functional groups to maintain repair schedules.
  • Partner in the development of long-term repair and return strategies in concurrence with technical requirements and customer needs.
  • Assess the repair and return process and trends.
  • Recommend improvements to increase process efficiency and decrease turn-around times.
  • Track, manage and report status and budget, and participate in estimates at complete.
  • Provide data for monthly contract deliverables, participate in program reviews, and other customer meetings.
  • Participate in proposals and develop Basis of Estimates.
  • Contribute to risk and opportunity management.
  • Implement continuous process improvement techniques for improving repair turnaround time and database management.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
