Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability. As a Principal Logistics Engineering Specialist, you'll be an integral part of the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team interfacing directly with team members and stakeholders including customers and program leaders.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with Logistics, Inventory Control and/or Warehouse Operations.
  • Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including but limited to Excel, Word, Project, Team Foundation and PowerPoint.
  • Experience leading a customer support team, including tasking the team, task management, and oversight of task requirements.
  • Experience managing in a depot or production environment.
  • Experience with Patriot Missile processing and supporting applications.
  • Comprehension of logistics standards and functions utilized to support PATRIOT and other military systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to ensure on-time and quality delivery of application requirements by coordinating sub teams in their roles to develop and maintain software, data and support processes and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-product teams including Chief Engineers, Program IPT Lead and Program Managers.
  • Coordinate program execution between various team disciplines to include Reliability, Test, Logistics, and Software Engineers along with IT and Database tools and support.
  • Ensure that budgets are established and maintained in accordance with EVMS principles and company policies.
  • Conduct regular review of product(s) life cycles, team activities and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain team performance metrics, review and conduct support in application support team hiring, assist with merit, promotions and reduction in staffing.
  • Prepare and present metrics and status at internal and external program reviews.
  • Occasional Domestic and International Travel may be required.
