At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a well-qualified Linux/Windows Systems Administrator to join our Classified Solutions team in Linthicum, MD. This position is critical to our mission of providing secure and reliable systems for classified government contracts. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site full-time due to the classified nature of the work, and telecommuting is not an option. The role involves performing as both a Linux/Redhat Systems Administrator and a Windows Systems Administrator, ensuring the smooth operation of all computer infrastructure in a multi-user environment. This includes collaborating with various teams such as systems engineers, security officers, and IT management to meet internal and external customer requirements. The responsibilities of this position encompass a wide range of tasks, including analyzing customer requirements, recommending system enhancements, providing backup and recovery services, and maintaining user accounts and security access lists. The candidate will also be responsible for testing new product releases, documenting technical processes, and making recommendations for hardware and software purchases. Adherence to strict Information Systems security guidelines is paramount, and the candidate will be expected to deploy new STIGs and work with IT/IA to address vulnerabilities. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently under minimal direction. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a current DoD Secret level security clearance and meet specific educational and experience requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience managing both Redhat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server operating systems, familiarity with DoD STIGs, and a strong understanding of security protocols. Preferred qualifications include a higher degree in an information systems-related field and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
