Principal System Administrator in infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborates with many teams to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have an active a transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have experience with Linux systems administration
  • Experience with one of the following: Solaris, Windows, VMWare
  • Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware Tanzu or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Experience Unix/Solaris 11.
  • VMware expertise desired.
  • Experienced mentoring individuals and teams.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
  • Ability to obtain 3 months.
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions. Specifically Net App.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced environment, using troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues, including hardware and OS integration, while adapting to evolving challenges as part of a team.
  • Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Develop solutions and documentation about a variety of technical problems.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date
