Principal-Level Environmental Geologist or Engineer
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Principal-level Environmental Geologist or Engineer for our Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will act as the Irvine Division’s technical lead and be instrumental in helping grow Ninyo & Moore’s Environmental consulting business. This position is for a candidate who enjoys performing both business development and technical consulting activities. We are looking for a professional who has a strong technical reputation in the field, enjoys and is great at promoting that reputation and the company behind it, and wants to be rewarded with an excellent compensation package.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- California PG, PE, or GE license required
- results-driven and self-motivated CA licensed professional geologist or engineer (PE or PG) with 15+ years of experience preferably with an environmental engineering services consulting firm performing the duties described above
- NEPA/CEQA & EIR experience
- strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
- expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Remediation, Emergency Construction Support for Contaminated Sites, Environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste)
- attending shortlist/interview presentations for major environmental clients
- be able to perform as an Expert Witness
- Basic computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required

- Must be able to act as the client manager for key clients or services areas, having a high profile through membership associations and a strong environmental network in Southern California
- Must be a strong technical reviewer, able to mentor junior technical personnel and able to plan and implement projects
