Responsible for translating schematics into layouts used for the creation of fabrication reticules, meet all engineering and process related criteria needed for assigned DRAM product, and organize and prioritize logistics and resource allocations to meet scheduled deadlines, as well as proactively develop methodologies for issue resolution. Work with design and other engineering groups to apply multiple layout techniques for the design and verification of digital and analog circuits; understand various circuit design protocols, different fab processes, mask generation techniques, and tape out processes and procedures. Design layout on DDR5 DRAM memory products including Y63C. Responsible for leading edge products such as DDR6 and 170s process node products and beyond, this includes Micron specific IP related to these products. Develop physical layout design for 160 series and 170 series process nodes. Work on cutting edge process development products. Verification of all levels of analog and digital Layout by using computer aided design software, including Cadence and Calibre, working with Design Engineers to floor plan and design layout, following verification protocols, and applying custom and/or automated layout techniques to design pitch, array, and peripheral layout for digital and analog circuits. Interface with design engineering to understand layout methodology, apply knowledge of circuit design, tape out processes and procedures, and apply fab process knowledge, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Optical Proximity Correction (0PC). Participate in project-based environment, organize, prioritize, and manage, logistic and resource allocations. Prioritize tasks to attain schedules and deadlines. Develop methodologies to resolve issues. Guide layout designers to encourage professional and technical development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Optoelectronics, Micro-Electronics, or related field
  • 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Layout Designer-related occupation
  • Vituoso, Calibre, VXL, Pulsic and AutoScel
  • Analog and digital CMOS layout methodologies
  • DRAM layout design, including peripheral circuitry, pitch cells and array layout
  • Peripheral circuitry layout implementation, LVS and DRC debugging
  • DRAM process and DRC rules
  • Match routing and fine layout implementation in high speed and analog circuits
  • Electrical migration requirements and transistor usage in multiple voltage domains
  • Large scale memory chip layout floor planning, signal routing planning, and layout project management
  • PDN evaluation tools, automation tools for layout quality improvement
  • DRAM layout best-known practice and providing feedback to circuit designers to improve circuit performance and power from layout improvements

Responsibilities
