The Integrated Solutions, Modeling, and Architecture (ISMA) directorate assesses, develops, and evaluates solution architectures for our customers’ largest, most complex challenges across all the operational domains. In the Operations and Mission Analysis Department you’ll be part of a special team that analyzes the world’s most challenging threats and helps define new capabilities to counter them, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and leading the industry in operational modeling and simulation using our purpose-built software. As a team member in the Air Dominance Modeling and Analysis section, you will join a high-performing team of engineers working with high-fidelity sensors, platform, and weapon simulations to provide actionable analysis to the Department of Defense and the Warfighter. Raytheon is currently seeking a Principal Kill Chain Analysis Lead. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ, with the potential for occasional travel a few times a year.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience analyzing data using modeling and simulation systems.
  • Experience with any of the following of the following: Linux/UNIX, High Performance Computing, Git, SIMDIS, Air Dominance Testbed, Air Combat Evaluation Model, C++, Python
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific majors: Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Statistics and Probability.
  • Experience performing verification and validation of air combat flight simulations.
  • Experience evaluating systems performance in complex environments
  • Experience leading Operations Research activities
  • Experience working in a team environment to develop creative and achievable solutions to complex technical, schedule, and cost problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 2-4 Kill Chain analysts in designing and executing high-priority, time-critical kill chain analysis projects, including pre-flight analysis, post-flight reconstruction, and Verification and Validation of the Air Dominance Testbed (ADTB).
  • Develop and maintain a project roadmap with Customers, Associate Contractors, and Technical Leads, outlining schedules and milestones for multi-vendor modeling, simulation, and analysis environment.
  • Collaborate with Associate Contractors and Customers to align community capabilities and scope analysis projects appropriately.
  • Coordinate with ADTB Software Leads to synchronize development schedules and work with vendors and Raytheon programs to define requirements and capabilities for distributed modeling and simulation support.
  • Facilitate cross-domain engagement by working with various stakeholders to integrate capabilities and ensure smooth operations across domains.
  • Support warfighters by creating actionable and timely analysis products through direct coordination.
