Requirements

At least 10 years of professional experience in software or data engineering, with a minimum of 4 years focused on data pipelines.
Proven experience driving technical direction and mentoring engineers.
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments.
Fluency in data quality practices and CI/CD integration.
Operational excellence in observability and experience implementing modern tools.
Solid foundation in data governance and performance optimization.
Proven experience with Lakehouse architectures and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide the design and implementation of scalable distributed systems based on Java microservices.
Engineer and optimize data pipelines using solutions like Apache Hudi, Apache Trino, Azure ADLS.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and AI teams to ensure data is a strategic asset.
Advance ongoing modernization efforts, including event-driven architectures and cloud-native technologies.
Drive adoption of best practices in data governance, observability, and performance tuning for data workloads.
Establish robust observability for data pipelines through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
Foster a culture of quality through peer reviews and constructive feedback.
