About The Position

Honeywell is seeking a Transition Architect to join our IT DCN team. The Transition Architect will be responsible to provide transition technical leadership of end-to-end process transformation and will provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices related to transitions and transformation within the Shared Services industry. This role is focused on initiatives of high complexity, that can span transversally across end-to-end process areas and regions, in an environment with a high degree of interdependent changes and advanced technologies. The Transition Architect acts as a bridge between the sending functions and Business Operations to ensure a seamless and effective design and transition of services.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written).
  • Develop & drive project plan(s) at the right level, identifying sequence of activities, durations, dependencies, milestones, deliverables, resources, etc.
  • Experience managing large, complex IT infrastructure projects with Network, Security and Open Systems (Intel, UNIX, Linux).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Efficient analytical skills; attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with different levels of management throughout an organization, excellent customer focus, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Energetic and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional multi-tasker, able to establish priorities and timelines.
  • Adaptability to work in ambiguous, constantly changing situations, including flexibility in working hours to accommodate working with different regions/geographies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate transition teams, team members with indirect reporting relationships across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design : Develop high-level and detailed architectural designs, prototypes, and integration plans for new systems or process changes.
  • Planning & Strategy : Create comprehensive transition plans, define project scope, and map out timelines, resources, and dependencies.
  • Stakeholder Management : Communicate with all levels of management, secure buy-in, and lead collaborative efforts across various business units.
  • Risk & Change Management : Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage the organizational change components (communication, training, adoption).
  • Governance & Standards : Define and enforce architectural standards, governance structures, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Leadership : Provide technical guidance, mentor teams, and oversee the execution of transition activities.
