About The Position

The Principal Internal Quality Management System Auditor at Raytheon plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the AS9100 series of standards and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective quality management processes. This position involves leading and conducting internal audits across various Raytheon locations, facilitating corrective actions, and serving as a liaison with certification bodies. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive auditing experience to support the Raytheon Quality Management System and contribute to the overall mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of five years' experience.
  • At least six years of QMS auditing experience.
  • Working experience in auditing to the ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards.
  • American Society for Quality Certification/Certified Quality Auditor Certification (ASQ/CQA) or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, conduct, and plan internal QMS audits for compliance to the AS9100 series of standards.
  • Perform all formal responsibilities of a Lead Auditor including audit team selection, planning, and conducting meetings with stakeholders.
  • Complete audit reports and manage the issuance, review, and approval of corrective actions.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Enterprise Audit Team during site audits.
  • Facilitate audit schedules, logistics, and closure of corrective actions with the certification body (NQA).
  • Prepare sites for Enterprise and NQA audits.
  • Perform additional audits as deemed appropriate at the sites.
  • Facilitate corrective action responses with process owners, including advanced root cause analysis.
