About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This critical role is responsible for the administration, standardization, and maintenance of enterprise storage products, including Hitachi (HDS or HP XP), EMC, and IBM storage systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in storage and SAN infrastructure, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional support and solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise storage and SAN infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Hitachi, EMC, and IBM storage products, as well as Brocade SAN technologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to address complex technical issues effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications in storage technologies (e.g., Hitachi, EMC, IBM) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of Hitachi, EMC, and IBM storage products.
• Ensure standardization of storage solutions across the organization.
• Monitor and optimize storage performance, availability, and capacity.
• Lead the build and commissioning of storage and SAN infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement storage solutions that meet business requirements.
• Provide expert-level support for SAN (Brocade) and enterprise storage systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage issues, escalating as necessary to maintain service levels.
• Play a pivotal role in the global build and migration of HP, EMC, and IBM storage systems.
• Work closely with project management teams to influence delivery timelines and ensure seamless transitions.
• Understand the critical nature of storage systems and their direct impact on business services.
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in supportability and performance of storage environments.
