We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal I&O Engineer to lead our Cloud Support team within the Infrastructure, Cloud, and Data Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, engineering, and managing our organization's A&I and E&I cloud infrastructure and platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of public cloud services, including IaaS and PaaS, as well as traditional enterprise data center infrastructure. This role is both a leadership and hands-on technical position, responsible for overseeing a team of cloud engineers while actively contributing to the engineering and support of cloud infrastructure and platforms. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and operations engineering, with a focus on cloud services
• 8+ years of experience in leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code, data center automation, and scripting (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• 8+ years of experience using DevOps and DevSecOps practices and tools (GitHub Actions, etc.)
• 8+ years of experience using Agile project management methodologies
• 5+ years of experience in leading and managing high-performing technical teams

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in a related field
• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in cloud infrastructure
• Proven deep understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid architectures

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Cloud Support team, fostering a culture of high-performance, collaboration, continuous upskilling, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement strategies for talent development and employee engagement
• Attract, hire, and retain top talent while controlling attrition
• Design, build, and manage public cloud infrastructure solutions to support diverse business requirements
• Ensure optimal performance, availability, scalability, and cost of cloud platforms
• Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and continuously improve solutions
• Develop and implement best practices for cloud security, cost management, automation, and reliability
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop roadmaps for technology portfolios
• Resolve cross-system and domain dependencies to ensure effective integration among services
• Evaluate the impact of changes and additions to the cloud infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security protocols and relevant standards
• Proactively identify and address security gaps in solution design and delivery
• Champion the adoption of DevSecOps practices within the team
• Champion innovation and modernization efforts within the cloud infrastructure
• Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions for new products and define centers of excellence for the organization
• Explore market, industry, and competitor trends to understand future needs and drive transformation
• Lead quality improvement processes and drive a culture of quality within the team
• Evaluate and streamline quality processes to enhance customer experience and business impact
• Ensure solutions meet business needs in terms of security, scalability, reliability, and feasibility
