About The Position
The City of Oceanside is accepting applications for the position of Principal Human Resources Analyst. This role involves developing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned functions, participating in collective bargaining and labor/employee relations, attending City Council meetings, and conducting meetings as required. The analyst will also participate in budget preparation and administration, interpret personnel policies, and recommend effective courses of action. The position requires collaboration with personnel staff to develop strategies and resolve issues, providing support to all City departments regarding personnel practices, and establishing effective working relationships with managers and labor representatives. The analyst will conduct complex studies, research new laws, and prepare reports based on findings.
