About The Position

Oracle hardware development engineering, within Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure development, is seeking a highly driven GPU Platform Hardware Engineer at the Senior Engineer level. The GPU Hardware Engineer will work within development engineering with a small team of talented engineers who lead the development and day-to-day engineering efforts for Oracle’s rapidly growing and successful Cloud AI platforms. You will participate in hardware development oversight & in house development, design reviews, Hardware integration, debug, and performance testing. You will interact closely with third party GPU IC suppliers & partners as well as internal hardware and software development engineers. You will be a critical part of the team developing Oracle’s growing Cloud AI solutions. The team you will be joining has delivered all generations of Oracle Cloud dedicated Compute, AI platforms, and is working on the current and next generation of Cloud and Enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Experience in hardware engineering with a focus on GPU and AI platforms.
• Familiarity with firmware and hardware integration processes.
• Strong debugging and performance testing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with evaluating and optimizing AI platform architectures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud infrastructure development.
• Knowledge of AI storage and networking solutions.
• Familiarity with merchant silicon evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hardware development oversight and in-house development.
• Conduct design reviews and hardware integration.
• Perform debugging and performance testing of hardware.
• Interact with third-party GPU IC suppliers and partners.
• Collaborate with internal hardware and software development engineers.
• Drive definition, development, integration, debug, characterization, and tuning of Cloud AI platforms.
• Evaluate AI platform architectures and assist with scaling and optimizations.
• Support solution operational health visibility development by other Oracle Engineering teams.
• Guide teams on the AI platforms and their effective use.
• Evaluate merchant silicon for next generation AI platforms.
