Emerson is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Embedded Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded systems for our next-generation products. This role requires deep technical expertise in embedded hardware and firmware, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Design and develop embedded hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection. Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ or assembly for microcontrollers, SoCs, and FPGAs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and validation testing (EMC, thermal, functional). Optimize power consumption, performance, and reliability of embedded systems. Lead prototyping, bring-up, and debugging of new hardware platforms. Interface with vendors and manufacturing partners to support production and DFM/DFT.Be an active member in the Emerson Technical community Who You Are: You model collaboration across the organization. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering experience + 5 years of experience in embedded hardware. Firmware development is a plus Hands on experience with schematic capture (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) and PCB layout tools Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers). Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, SWD, and in-circuit emulate Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
