About The Position

We are looking for a Principal Group Engineering Manager (GEM) to lead the Meeting Prep engineering team—a mission critical pillar of Microsoft’s Calendar and Copilot experiences. This team builds the intelligence that helps people show up prepared to meetings: synthesizing context across calendar, email, documents, and conversations to deliver concise, high quality briefs before meetings. The role sits at the intersection of applied AI, productivity, and product craft, and requires a leader who can translate ambiguous user needs into durable, scalable systems. Ship at Microsoft Scale Drive execution across multiple workstreams with dependencies on shared platform teams. Make principled tradeoffs between scope, velocity, and reliability. Operate effectively in a fast paced, large, crossorg environment. What Success Looks Like Meeting prep becomes a default habit for high impact users because it consistently saves time and improves outcomes. The team delivers clear, structured, executive ready briefings that users trust without second guessing. Engineers on the team demonstrate solid ownership, product sense, and pride in craft. The system scales across meeting types—from 1:1s to leadership reviews—without fragmenting. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
