Principal Geotechnical Engineer
About The Position
Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a G.E. license for our San Jose, West Sacramento, or Alameda, California office. The Principal Geotechnical Engineer will direct, review, and oversee small to large private and public projects. The successful candidate will mentor junior staff; provide leadership, maintain client relationships; assist in marketing/business development; provide ongoing training to engineering staff; provide direction and review of engineering work products; and review and sign geotechnical proposals and reports.
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering required
- California G.E. license is required, no exceptions
- Licensed professional engineer in California with over 10 years of experience with a geotechnical consulting firm performing duties described above.
- A well-rounded background in geotechnical engineering
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- A track record of successful client relationships and service
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Excellent problem solving skills
Nice To Haves
- M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
- Work experience with construction and earthwork activities.
